Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre: Touring (1974 - 1976)

Touring resumed at Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre in 1974 after Alan Ayckbourn had been appointed Artistic Director of the company in 1974. It was part of his aim to create an all-year round company. Very few details are held about these early tours, so many of the precise venues and towns visited have been lost.

This period also saw the company begin touring abroad in association with the British Council, launching a successful run of European tours of productions which had originated in Scarborough.
