
The Library Theatre at 70 - Saturday 12 July VIP Event
Welcome to the VIP page for The Library Theatre at 70 exhibition - for those who are attending the Saturday 12 July events celebrating the 70th anniversary of The Library Theatre, Scarborough.This page is a guide to the events and their timings - you're free to do the events in order you wish with the exception of the special 2.15pm event - for which you will need to be in the foyer by 2pmn before the doors are locked to the exhibition.
The Exhibition
Time: 10am - 2pm.The actual exhibition of photographs, posters, programmes and correspondence is open continually from 10am to 2pm. The average time to explore is probably 30 - 45 minutes.
The Talk
Time: 11am - 11.45pmA half-hour talk celebration the significance of the Library Theatre with Simon Murgatroyd to be followed by question and answer. This is expected to be finished by 11.45pm.
The Video Presentation
Time: 10am - 2pmA special presentation, running for an hour, is on loop throughout the morning in the small lecture room. There are three short videos interspaced with slides relating to both the Library Theatre and the productions between 1955 and 1976.
Each video begins on the 20 minute mark: Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre (on the hour); The First Night (20 past the hour); An interview with Sir Alan Ayckbourn CBE (twenty to the hour).

Signed and numbered copies of Simon Murgatroyd's new book - limited to 70 copies - are available throughout the morning by the entrance priced at £5.The Special Tour
Time: 2pm - 3pmAttendees invited to and registered to the special event should be in the foyer before 2pm when the exhibition closes to the general public. At which point, Simon and Angela Kale will be hosting this exclusive event.
