The earliest known image of theatre in the round in Scarborough, drawn by Stephen Joseph and sent to William Smettem when explaining the concept of theatre in the round and how it would work in thew Concert Room at Scarborough Library. The configuration of the seats and exits clearly points to this image being based specifically on the dimensions of the Concert Room.
