Touring: Stephen Joseph Theatre In The Round

This page contains details of productions which toured from the Stephen Joseph Theatre In The Round, Scarborough, between 1976 and 1995. Unfortunately very few details are held in archive of touring from theatre in the round in Scarborough prior to 1996, as a result the early touring details may not be complete or need further clarification.

This period included a number of significant events with, arguably, the peak of touring ambition in all of the company's long history. This included tours of Scarborough world premiere productions to Canada (1987) and an extensive European tour which culminated in venues in Egypt (1988).

This period also saw the links forged with The Old Laundry Theatre, Bowness-on-Winderemere, which opened with the world premiere Scarborough production of Alan Ayckbourn's
Time & Time Again (1992).
